The next leader should be bilingual (Haitian-Creole/Spanish), data-driven, and will use insights to capitalize on individual strengths and address areas for improvement, creating an environment that is conducive to learning for all. They will support staff development through professional learning opportunities, foster open dialogue to improve practices, and ensure the school retains high-quality educators. The principal will also provide the leadership needed to advocate for programs like Head Start, addressing barriers and maintaining excellence in all facets of the school’s operations.
North Side’s next principal will have an open-door policy, offering empathy, humility, and a willingness to listen. They will bring a fresh perspective, balance tradition with innovation, and remain committed to pursuing excellence for students, staff, and the broader community. This leader will celebrate North Side’s strengths, stand up for its needs, continue the path to academic success and ensure it remains a beacon of pride and opportunity for all.
