BUS OPERATOR-TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST

POSITION GOAL

To perform skilled work and supervision in the terminal of the Pupil Transportation Department in which he/she is assigned.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Broward County School Bus Operator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Broward County School Bus Operator
• Must be able to assume responsibility and follow both written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to work well with others and instruct personnel in proper work procedures to accomplish various assignments.
• Must have a proper Florida commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements compatible with the assigned duties of The School Board of Broward County.
• Computer skills as required for the position.
• This position will include pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
