POSITION GOAL

To facilitate the accurate reporting of financial information by providing assistance to school district personnel in the use and proper application of the district's financial systems as well as policies and procedures pertaining to financial management functions.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
  • A minimum four (4) years of experience in a Bookkeeper or Budgetkeeper position in the Broward County School District or in a related work assignment which would provide a background in the field.
  • OR

  • An earned Associate's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business administration or other field related to the title of the position.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Bookkeeper or Budgetkeeper position in the Broward County School District or in a related work assignment which would provide a background in the field.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of micro and minicomputers used in the school system.
  • Ability to use judgment to analyze facts and circumstances surrounding problems or transactions and to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice.
  • Computer skills as required for the position.
